Uplifting

I'm sure by now you've heard the story of how Bitcoin has this mysterious founder known only as β€œSatoshi Nakamoto”?

Legend is this person created Bitcoin around 2009, then gave a farewell to the Bitcoin community around 2011.

It's kind of weird this isn't more widely known, but the legendary Satoshi Nakamoto is by all accounts......Hal Finney.

This guy:

- He was an early cryptography enthusiast and contributor
- He was the first user of Bitcoin besides "Satoshi."
- He invented the "Proof Of Work" concept that powers blockchains well before Bitcoin was invented.
- He got very ill and died from ALS around the same time "Satoshi" went silent.

It's kind of wild this isn't a more known fact, and that all articles about Bitcoin use the story of Satoshi Nakamoto still.

I do understand though.

The "mysterious founder" story is waaayyyy more intriguing than the truth.

However it's kind of neat that Hal Finney, this random computer nerd, was probably the guy who created something that's dramatically impacted the world!

Picture:

I just wrapped up filming a podcast episode with Codie Sanchez where we talked about how she buys β€œunsexy sweaty business” like laundromats, car washes, and ice vending machines:

After speaker with her, I legitimately want to try a "revenue share purchase" of a physical business and take over the online marketing aspect of it.

I will likely be releasing this episode on Monday or Tuesday of next week, so watch out for it then!

Interesting:

I've been messing around on Twitter lately, and noticed in the analytics you can see how much a Tweet will get promoted by looking at it's engagement rate.

For example here's a Tweet I made than only got a 2.5% engagement rate:

In the Twitter world 2.5% engagement rate is bad:

0 - 5% Low
5 - 10% Alright
10 - 20% Great

That Tweet got 2.5% because:
❌ It wasn't very shareable.
❌ It didn't add commentary or explanation.
❌ It had no "engagement piece" like asking for comments
❌ It was just kinda "meh."

Here's some other Tweets I made with low engagement rates:

Looking back I could easily see why all of these Tweets stunk.

- No engagement for people to do (like comment).
- No reason for people to really care.
- Weren't visually appealing.

But then checkout Tweets with 10% or higher engagement rates:

- They were fun topics my audience likes
- They are on the "more shareable" side of things
- They often had super interesting images people clicked (which count as a "media engagement")

Say hi to me on Twitter! @NevMed

Do-Over:

Here's a Twitter Profile Makeover of a Twitter account @MirrorOfMySelf (who replied with his profile to the last STUPID email)!

❌ There was no background on the profile (not necessary but can add character)!
❌ His profile pic was dark and kind of hard to see.
❌ The profile didn't explain why I should follow (or care) about the account.

So we changed up some things:
βœ… Added nice background just to add some flavor.
βœ… Used a clearer and more professional pic from his LinkedIn profile.
βœ… Clearly explained what he's good at (re-vamping sales emails).
βœ… Added some social proof of companies worked with.

Hope you enjoyed these little tidbits, have a happy Friday!
Sincerely,
Neville Medhora -
