Quick story: I had a call with Andy Rachleff (he co-founded Benchmark, one of the most successful VC funds ever) and I asked him about crypto. He was basically like: crypto is just speculation, it’s not an investment.
(hmmm… so one of the best investors ever is calling my biggest investment "not an investment”...f*ck!) 

Then I talked to two of my friends who are 21-22 year old engineers and all they could talk about is what they’re building in crypto. And it reminded me why I believe so much in the space. The smartest people I know are investing their time & talents into crypto, so I feel good having my money in it.

Tobi created Shopify. It started as a snowboard shop and is now a $100B+ company. 

If you watch movies or read books, they make it sound like every founder is on some Steve-Jobs-Black-Turtleneck shit. They show a visionary founder who had a big vision from day 1 and made it come true. 

In real life - things are much more “progressively ambitious”. They start small, then as they get success, you dream bigger. Rinse and repeat for 10-20 years. That’s how you go from a snowboard shop to the everybody-shop and build a company worth $100,000,000,000+
