Black Friday 'Just' Begun

Black Friday just kicked off a few hours ago, but let's be honest. Black Friday is no longer a day, it’s more like a month-long festival of deals. 

We've been seeing keywords since October that have made their way to the top of our list, thanks to the early discounts and deals of the holiday season. This week we found terms like “kasa smart bulb” and “amazoncom shopping”, and products related to these keywords have offered big discounts causing a drastic increase in sales, selling 610 units per day in the past few days.

Should you lower or raise prices during the holidays?

The short answer? It depends. Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals can be profitable depending on the niche.

The Keyword Under the Microscope

Every year, Amazon launches a plethora of new products. Amazon’s private-label brands are often competing directly with third-party sellers. One of its latest products is an “automotive car holder”.

The keyword “automotive car holder” is taking our Number 5 in this week’s top terms. An Amazon product has made its way up to the list and sold up to 159 units per day in the last few days, despite the fact that this listing has gone live a few days ago.




Amazon’s Brands Are in Most Product Categories

In more recent years, Amazon has released more private brands. The retailer is entering with its own brands in different sectors and in many cases attacking niches in different sectors. 

With 158,000 private brand products across 45 brands until 2019, Amazon continues to grow every day creating more private label brands and becoming a big competitor to Amazon sellers.
