Amazon's trends during the Holiday season [Top Terms]

Hey Reader,

Happy 2022!

Are you ready for the new year? With Amazon becoming the biggest competitor to all sellers, we need to step up their game with some white hat tactics. Check out the Top 12 Amazon SEO, PPC & Conversion Hacks for 2022.

Amazon Top 10 Movers

Welcome to the first Amazon Top Movers Newsletter of the year! This newsletter is a feast of Amazon Brand Analytics data, so dive in and check out the top 10 terms from December 19th to January 1st. Let’s find out which top keywords have been topping the list for the past two weeks of 2021!

Keyword Under the Microscope

Despite the shopping surge between November and December, January may see a spike in sales too. Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, and third-party sellers have been preparing for this event for months. With global supply chain issues and inventory shortages, smart shoppers would be buying their gifts as early as now for next month’s festivities.

Taking the number three slot in today’s top 10 is “valentines day pillow covers 18x18”, and believe it or not, products related to this keyword have already sold 183 units per day in the last few days.

Other terms related to this seasonal event are “valentine pillow covers 18x18” and “valentine decor”. These keywords have also made their way to the top 10 movers, selling 74 units per day for the former and 57 units per day for the latter in the past few days.

Importers ' Mecca

Most of these seasonal products for Christmas and Valentine's come from the world's largest importer, China.

If you’re importing from China, you should definitely visit the Canton Fair at some point. It will open your eyes to the grand scale of Chinese manufacturing.

COVID has impacted the Canton Fair, like everything else. Find out everything you need to know about visiting the Canton Fair during COVID, in our Ultimate Guide to Attending the Canton Fair in 2022.

The 2021 Holiday Season

Overall, it appears that global supply chain problems towards the end of 2021 ended up having an insignificant impact on the retail industry during the holiday shopping season.

Retailers usually roll out their major deals leading up to the holidays, that’s why the keyword “after christmas sales clearance” took our spot #2 in today’s top movers. Products related to this term have already sold 196 units per day in the last few days.

Happy New Year,

Helena
