BUY LIST UPDATE: I’ve added one stock to the BUY LIST today & boy was this company tough to find! Spent waaaay longer than I should have (You know how picky I can be). I also added 4 more stocks to the Price Assessment Based Watchlist. So you will need to excuse me for the quick summary this morning. It simply took waaay too long for me to find a good buy & I didn’t have as much time to do my market analysis.

EARNINGS SEASON IS HERE: Starting this week, early first quarter earnings season is underway. If early earnings are good it may generate a great deal of market excitement. The distraction would be nice, but DO NOT FORGET that near the end of earnings season the Fed is EXPECTED to raise rates. There isn’t much critical market moving news this week on the economic calendar aside from housing starts, existing home sales, & building permits. Our next REALLY BIG DAY on the economic calendar will be the Fed interest rate decision on 2:00pm ET, Wednesday January 26th. No one is talking about it now, no one is even looking at it, but now you are! Thanks for subscribing & enjoy the advanced warning!

STOCK OF THE DAY: ATVI was removed from the BUY LIST yesterday for a 40% gain as announced on Twitter early yesterday morning. The ATVI dump on controversy had nothing to do with the company’s financials. It was a reliably profitable company trading at sector/industry value, on a pullback of little to no consequence, with solid institutional investment under favorable economic conditions. Well I wasn’t the only one who realized the value. Yesterday MSFT announced they were buying ATVI. Now this isn’t my first buyout. ECHO, SPWH, STMP, & others I’ve called in the past have been bought out as well, and many of my long term followers who were around before this newsletter remember them well. And having had so much experience with buyouts I was happy to remove ATVI while the buyout was still a rumor. This too paid off! Nevertheless in my experience the aforementioned formula is excellent for increasing the chance that a stock will undergo a buyout. So lets add this to my growing buyout list & pin it to the StockTips Record Above!
