Everything you need to know about 3D printers

January 28, 2022

In case you didn’t know, before becoming the Editor in Cheif of Review Geek, I worked at a Microsoft Store. I was sad when Microsoft closed its retail outlets, but while I generally liked my time at the company, there was something I didn’t think I’d ever miss: maintaining the store’s 3D printer.

This was about ten years ago, and the whole point was to show how great 3D printers could be. And well… it was awful. Truly awful. Despite our best efforts, the 3D printer broke down constantly; it was pretty pathetic. But despite that terrible experience, I’m now the proud owner of three (!) 3D printers. Because in ten years a lot has changed. And if you’re interested in 3D printers at all, we have a special treat for you. Hit up the top story, and we’ll go over everything you need to know about 3D printers.

Other Highlights:

  • Plex users have been asking for a simple feature for seven years, and now it’s finally here.
  • A bunch of Tesla news dropped during an earnings call, and some of it is not great. Unless you like robots, I guess.
  • I guess this makes sense, but Wyze is discontinuing its original security camera, the Wyze Cam v1. If you own one, there’s good news and bad news.
  • …and more!
