This week’s money mood: Job searching with a strategy

The Great Resignation may have peaked back in November, but it’s still — very much so — in progress.

I’m so proud of every person (women+ in particular) saying “enough is enough” — to toxic cultures, micromanagers, being underpaid, or lack of recognition. Bye to all that! And hello to companies that align with our values and have missions we can get behind.

I also empathize with those who left to care for loved ones. Hear me: I am proud of you, too. I cannot wait to see your resilience transform your career path and witness how you rewrite the narrative for caretakers in the workplace.

And to the newly minted entrepreneurs: I see you. By now you know that the hardest day isn’t the day you quit — it’s the day after. But you bet on yourself, and you’ve got this. Let’s go!

No matter who you are or where you find yourself in the midst of the Great Resignation, never underestimate the power you possess. You are strong, valuable, and capable. Combine that with a strategic job search (more on that below), and you could go anywhere.
