Tip of the Day

Start your week strong by picking three things you need to accomplish this week and writing down three things you need to do to accomplish them.

Happy Monday! Also, Happy President’s Day! I know, I know, it’s no Christmas, but for folks who work where Federal holidays are observed, it’s a day off at least. And hey, what better excuse to read a list of Presidential culinary quirks? It’s not every Monday that odd dietary habits of former Presidents or this list of Presidential-themed books are topical.

Not jazzed about President’s Day? Well, there’s always the Shamrock Shake to celebrate. Coincidentally, today is the 2022 release date of the McDonald’s Shamrock Shake. You can pop over to the ol’ golden arches to grab one or you can make one right at home with our delicious DIY recipe.

And, of course, because it’s Monday we have a drop of what’s coming to Netflix this week for you to check out.

Finally, here’s a perfect bit of Presidential trivia for today’s watercooler trivia. On this day in 1885, the Washington Monument was dedicated in Washington, D.C. in honor of the first U.S. President and revolutionary war hero George Washington. The building, at 555 feet tall, was the tallest building in the world at the time and, thanks to Washington D.C. ordinances that forbid building anything taller than the monument, it will always be the tallest building in the Capital.
