TODAYS COMMENTARY Get a Cup of Coffee & Enjoy Catching Up! If you aren’t reading this daily you are missing out on a wealth of information that could prevent unforced & unnecessary trading errors.

Tricky Markets: Traders are afraid to go short because good news out of Europe would mean bullish markets, & traders are afraid to go long because of inflationary pressures, fed rate hikes, semiconductor shortages, increasing gas prices, rising food prices, & supply chain issues. I feel the pain on both sides. Such circumstances is why I have such a large position in POWW. Good economies or bad, ammunition always seems to do well despite being a discretionary purchase.

Biden Makes a LNG Deal with the EU: The big news this morning is that President Biden is guaranteeing Europe 15 billion cubic meters of liquified natural gas annually. Of course, Europe uses 14b cubic meters a day, but this nevertheless increases requirements on US LNG … although there is no indication that President Biden is going to lift the restrictions he implemented on LNG (Many of which I highlighted on Twitter). Moreover the LMG industry is at capacity right now … so there is a big question as to where this gas will come from. Natural gas is already at 10 year highs right now & this will likely press prices further. The LNG deal will increase to 50b cubic meters by 2030.

Consumer Sentiment Reported Today: Pay attention to this one! Consumer confidence has been declining & is expected to continue.

Russian Aggression: There are two events that can send the markets immediately into a tailspin. 1) A cyber attack on a major industry or major critical infrastructure. 2) A tactical nuclear strike in the Ukraine to supplement mounting Russian casualties. Both threats are very real folks. This makes it awfully hard to invest in the markets right now.

Its Friday: With mounting uncertainty in the markets it can often be a bad idea to establish new positions with a weekend ahead. Of course its also tough to hold short. I’m personally hoping for a rally today. It would provide the final touches to cleaning up the BUY LIST.
