Sticky Notes - Relax, this won't hurt a bit.

God save the queen.
God save the queen.
God save the queen.

Here's the short story...

My third (and final) book of poetry and prose under the alias January Black is set to release in less than two weeks. If you want to get your hands on it before everyone else, you can pre-order it here.

There's one caveat though: I won't be giving away the name nor the title between now and then.

Here's the whole story...

When I created my alter-ego, January Black, a year ago, I told myself it was because I wanted some separation between myself and my work.

This was true to a certain extent. January gave me the space to explore some tumultuous and, at times, ominous terrain.

But, with time, I realized the real reason I thought-up January was because I needed a reprieve from failing under my own name.

Anyone creating anything close to their heart knows just how badly it hurts when it doesn't receive the attention it deserves or, worst yet, is ripped apart in threads and chatrooms and reviews and what have you.

Writing and creating publicly under your own name can feel like stripping naked under the horrid translucent lights of a grocery store and walking down the frozen food section for the entire goddamn world to see.

However, like writing, if you sign yourself up for this kind of public torment, stripping naked in the middle of a Walmart, don't bitch about the cold.

Anyway, while I am deeply proud of the January era and how it has allowed me to hone my chops as a writer, explore the taboo and find the solace I desperately needed, I'm ready to create entirely under Cole again.

G*********, my third and final book under the alias January Black is about death.

The death of one's ego.

The death of one's self.

The death of one's hopes.

The death of one's fears.

The death of one's dreams.

The death of one's demons.

The death of one's childhood.

The death of one's insecurities.

It's set to release in two short weeks, along with a short spoken word video that's the most visceral piece of art I've ever put out.

But, if you'd like to get your hands on a copy before everyone else (and cry before everyone else), you can do here or at the black button down below.

Godspeed, my friends.

Yours,

Cole.

This is the end.
