Sticky Notes - I need your help.

I can't make up my mind...

The TL;DR...

I'm in the process of writing my next guide. The problem is that I can't make up my mind on what to write about.

I need your help...

Reply to this email with a topic you'd be interested in learning about (preferably one I've listed at the bottom of this email) and I will send you a discount code for 25% off your choice of one of the following three guides:

1. How to become the Don Draper of cold email
2. Freelance to $100k
3. How to write words that sell like hell

Capeesh? Capeesh.

The whole story...

I have that familiar itch again.

And, no, I didn't wipe my ass with Poison Ivy.

(Although, there's a hilarious story about Stephen King's testicles swelling to the size of playground kickballs after making this mistake as a kid...)

The itch I'm referring to is a guide.

Each year, I put out a 10,000-word guide on a topic that interests both me and my readers.

Last year, it was a guide about getting anything you want with the dark magic of cold email

The year before last, it was a guide about building a lucrative freelance business outside of your day job.

And, the year before the year before last, it was a guide about writing words that sell like a Florida Snow Cone Vendor on the hottest day of the year.

I've done quite a bit of brooding these past few days, mulling over what I want my next guide to be about.

But, despite my brooding and my mulling, I can't seem to make up my damn mind.

Perhaps, you can help me?

Here are the guides I've been considering:

[1] Ship: Daily

This wouldn't be a course but a sprint. I would take 100 students, put them on a private email list. And, each day for 30-days, I would email them a topic to write about along with helpful writing tips. Think of it like a writing class via email. Students would then go about writing an article on the topic given and they would then share it to their social channels with the goal of establishing a lifelong writing practice.

[2] I'm No Hemingway: A 10,000-word deep-dive into Ernest Hemingway's life and writing style.

^^^ I've been enamored with Hemingway for years now and have read more books than I can count (both by him and about him) and I feel I've absorbed enough of his reading to put together a pretty solid course on the tremendous life and writing chops of "Papa".

[3] How to write articles that will make your readers fall in love with you.

^^^ This would essentially outline the exact process I've used to write thousands of articles over the past 4-5 years. It would cover everything from how I go about research, idea generation, writing the actual articles themselves and growing my readership.

[4] Zero to One Hundred

^^^ Here I would teach you how to start an email newsletter from scratch and grow your email list from zero subscribers to one hundred subscribers. I would cover everything from choosing a topic for your newsletter, choosing a name, building an email opt-in page and, of course, growing your subscriber count.

[5] 50 pieces of writing advice from 50 dead writers

^^^ This would probably require more than 10,00 words but it would essentially involve me curating writing advice from some of the greatest writers to have ever lived (all of which are dead).

I'm patiently waiting...

Respond to this email directly (or by hitting the black button down below) with which guide tickles your fancy from the ones I've listed up above.

As a reward, I will then send you a discount code that can be applied to a guide of your choosing.

Cheers,

Cole.
