In this behind-the-scenes look at Formula One, Marc Priestley writes about his years as a McLaren mechanic where he had a front row seat to the contentious relationship between double world champion Fernando Alonso and a rookie named Lewis Hamilton. Priestley’s life on the road with McLaren had cringeworthy moments, but his account of this time period in F1 history is an interesting, quick and insightful read.
