6 Great New Podcasts

Welcome to the 164th edition of Find That Pod.

Welcome new subscribers!

Given the endless wave of calamities in our society over the past 2 years or so, I found myself wondering something this week.

What must the experience be like for therapists and counsellors these days? I mean seriously. That can't be an easy job right now.

They must feel like they're handing out sunscreen to people who are on fire. Envy them, I do not.

So as we must each week, let's get to some podcast recommendations:

SOCIETY & CULTURE

Hooked

When Tony Hathaway was arrested outside a Seattle bank in February 2014, it brought an end to one of the most prolific bank robbery streaks in American history. Hathaway robbed 30 banks in a single year, all within a 30-mile radius of his suburban home. But that’s not the most surprising part of this story. Before Hathaway was a masterful bank robber—a shape-shifting professional who confounded multiple police departments and the FBI—he was a top design engineer at Boeing, one of America’s most important companies.

About a Girl

About A Girl is a scripted narrative anthology series about women whose stories have long been eclipsed by the legends of their famous partners. Bowie, Elvis, 2Pac, Prince, Miles, Biggie. Each of these icons created some of the most celebrated and enduring music of the modern age. But there's more to their stories than you know. About A Girl brings focus to the many women without whom the landscape of popular music might be very different.
