So many brands saw success advertising during the celebrations but it's left marketers wondering how to get involved with seasonal events outwith their home country.

Little known secrets to getting optimal ROAS

Basically, there are three pillars for an optimal ROAS:

  • Cost per landing page view: This metric is calculated as the total amount spent divided by landing page views.
  • Conversion rate: Percentage of visitors to your website that converts.
  • Average Order Value: Conversion Purchase Value / Purchases. 

When talking about Cost per landing page view, we are measuring the cost to send one potential buyer to your ecommerce store. So, the lower this KPI the better.

How do I improve this cost per landing page view?

  • Chose a strategic product for your ad. 
  • Create an Ad Creative that converts. 
  • Improve copywriting. 
  • Optimise your Ad Campaigns.
  • Attractive offer.
  • Assertive targeting on you audience. 
     

How could I increase the Average Order Value?

  • Bundle products or create packages.
  • Upsell or cross-sell complimentary products. 
  • Set up a customer loyalty program. 
  • Create an order minimum for free shipping and / or other gifts. 
  • Provide fully staffed live chat support for quick questions. 
 

How about my Conversion Rate?
This is crucial to your business. If it is low, you might be facing a lot of issues with your website. In order to improve, you could:

  • Improve UX (website categorization & usability).
  • Improve product pages (leverage personality, visuals, video, testimonials, social proof etc). 
  • Show credibility. 
  • Strategic shipping (encourage the customer to promote actions that puts their order above the average order spent in store)
  • Efficient checkout.

And what if I don’t know if my KPIs are good/bad?

These KPI´s may vary based on niche, region etc. so, if you don't know yours, I suggest getting in contact with other Ecommerce owners of your niche/region and share this info.
