Hey guys.
This week I visited two podcasts, mostly invited by our newsletter readers. Loved the atmosphere and questions, especially from Josh’s solopreneur grind. I’ll announce when the episode air.
Today’s blog post will be about expectations and reality in the SaaS world and what you need to be sure of when you start your entrepreneurial journey.
You’ll notice that I added a few new fields to listings (What I like and Concerns) where I review startups and tell you my opinion pretending I’m a buyer.
P.S. Yesterday was Ukraine Independence day, so I congratulate everyone who donated and helped refugees. Stay with Ukraine; keep the peace in the world.

📈 Our marketplace stats

The lowest asking price sold is Stardew Valley bot for $150, and the highest is Multi-Cloud Backup micro-SaaS for $40,000.
Besides this, the most popular categories are micro-SaaS, extensions, and newsletters.
😮 Expectation vs reality
I wrote a slightly pessimistic article about owning a micro-SaaS.
I just wanted to give people a more realistic understanding that holding a software business isn’t a passive investment, and you always need to do something to grow it. But it’s a lot of fun, and you will learn many things along the way.
