Do you sometimes wonder how and where you draw the line between your life and your business online? It seems like everyone is sharing everything on socials all the time. *Everything*.

If I've followed somebody long enough, it feels like I can almost re-create a 3D model of their house from all the photos they posted online. It's just... a lot and sometimes it feels really weird to know this much about someone I've never met. It's almost a little gross in its voyeurism.

But...do you need to do that to build a brand online?

How Much of Your Life Do You Have to Show Online to Build a Brand?

As you know, I'm not on socials for marketing. I left because I neither enjoyed creating content for the platforms, nor what my mental helth was like when I was on them for work.

There's one more reason I quit socials. I feel hugely uncomfortable with sharing my life on them, especially for business purposes.

Kids, house, body, partner, hobbies, travel - where do you draw the line?

Turns out: Very little!

I found a Japanese YouTuber, Solo Solo Travel, who built a travel channel up to almost 700k follower without even showing his face once. And it's still personable and entertaining.
