📣 The No. 1 Barrier to Marketing Without Social Media

I made a fire podcast episode for you and you've never heard me speak like this. I'm usually chill and calmly happy. This is a different story.

I saw a post in a business group yet again about how socials were so meh to market on. Blah blah blah, I hate social media, blah blah.

Look, I get it! It takes a while to figure out what work. There's a lot of bla bla on the internet that tells you that you've got to do it this way or bust. It can be confusing!

What we need to talk about is adult human beings who are capable of running businesses who keep telling themselves the same sucky story over and over again. Socials suck. Posting drains me. I don't want to do this but I have to.

Honestly, I'm over these conversations. Today, despite my gentle nature, I won't sugarcoat it for you.

You don't have to be on socials if you don't want to. You don't have to create a course if you don't want to. You don't have to do anything in any set way, if it doesn't resonate.

You're an adult human being who's running a business. You get to decide how you do things. Not some online guru, not your well-meaning friends who told you "just make a facebook page and they will come", not your neighbor. Whoever it is, it doesn't mean you have to do it.

The way things have been done is a great way to get started. And then build from there. Evaluate! Use what resonates and build from there.

The No. 1 thing holding you back in your marketing?

It's your mind!

I see this time and again when I talk to people 1:1. Everyone who's come to me so far already has an idea about how things could work without socials. The "better way" in the land of unicorns and rainbows.

But they're scared of the better way. The misery of social media marketing is predictable misery, at least. The other stuff is scary, because it's unknown and out of the box.

So you keep choosing predictable misery over the potential of seeing the land of unicorns and rainbows and fun in your marketing, after all.

Understandable! It doesn't have to be this way.

You deserve more. But you've got to give yourself permission first. You've got to decide that it's okay to do things your way.
