In 2014, Zak and his co-founder Graham were both frustrated with the cost of healthcare and believed they could make a difference.

They decided to build software to help direct primary-care practices.

Despite both of them lacking experience in healthcare, they jumped right in and hit the ground running.

Within 30 days, they attended an industry event, talked to prospects, started building a product, and got their first paying customer.

Today, their startup has around 1,000 customers, is close to hitting 8-figures in annual recurring revenue (ARR), and has raised $64M.

But looking back, Zak wishes that he'd spent more time researching customers problems instead of moving as fast as they did.
