BUILD YOUR FIRST INTERACTIVE DASHBOARDThis beginners course takes you through your first steps of connecting to the Tableau example data set, building out your first charts and combining these into a simple and effective interactive dashboard. 2. BUILD A SIMPLE KPI DASHBOARDThis course builds on the skills you learned in the previous course and introduces you to all you need to know to create your own clean and modern dashboards in Tableau to display key performance indicators, metric and trends within your organisation. Preparing Data3. CLEAN, PREPARE AND TRANSFORM DATA FOR ANALYSISNow you've been introduced to Tableau and what it can do find out how to perform powerful data cleansing and preparation using Tableau Prep. In this lesson you'll find out how to quickly and easily get your data ready for analysis and automate your workflows. 4. CONNECTING TO DATA SOURCES AND CREATING A CURATED DATA SOURCETableau offers a wide variety of data sources you can connect to, this lesson takes you through connecting to commonly used data sources including spreadsheets, CSV files, SQL databases and other data systems such as SalesForce. We also show you how to use Tableau to create and publish data sources for your users to use in their analysis. Analysing Data5. ANALYSE DATA AND PRESENT RECOMMENDATIONSTableau is a key component in any analysts toolkit, in this lesson we look at how Tableau can be used to visually analyse data to uncover patterns, trends and insight and how it can then be used to present your findings and recommendations directly in Tableau. 6. LEARN HOW TO CREATE CUSTOMER AND MARKETING SEGMENTATIONIn this course we expand on the use of Tableau as a tool for analysts by looking at how we can use it to analyse a data set and then perform customer and market segmentation and perform scenario modelling to identify lucrative customer groups and markets. 7. ANALYSING AND MODELLING SALES PERFORMANCENow you've learned how to use Tableau to prepare and analyse data we take it a step further and walk through how to create reports that give up to the minute insight on performance and allow users to model potential outcomes and create forecasts. Intro to Effective Dashboard Design8. DESIGN AND BUILD A WEBSITE ANALYTICS DASHBOARDWe commonly use Tableau to provide business users with self service access to data and insight without needing the technical skills to interrogate a database. In this course we introduce you to best practices in creating a simple, interactive and easy to use dashboard and how to apply your own branding and styling utilising templates. 9. CREATE A HR TRACKER DASHBOARD FROM GOOGLE SHEETSIn the second course in our dashboard design series we look at how we can create a dashboard from our HR departments Google Sheets to allow them to track key metrics and uncover insights of their own. 10. DESING AND BUILD AN EMPLOYEE WELLBEING DASHBOARDIn our final intro to effective dashboard design course we show you how you can take data that users submit at irregular intervals and display the results on a live interactive dashboard. In this project employees are able to submit a wellbeing survey which is then translated into a score and dashboard for department heads. Advanced Features11. USE DATE SCAFFOLDING TO TRACK ITEM PROGRESS AND COMPLETION TIMESNow we've covered off some of the basics of Tableau we start to look at more intermediate and advanced uses. In this first course we show you how to utilise date scaffolding and calculations to figure out how long it takes items to move through status' and present these and other key insights to users in a dashboard. We also look at using 'Viz in Tooltip' to drilldown into the data. 12. DESIGNING A DASHBOARD FOR USE ON A MOBILE DEVICE OR TABLETNext we look at how to design dashboards for use on mobile devices and tablets and how to utilise Tableau's responsive design functionality. For this project we take lots of our data and create a mobile CRM dashboard for field based colleagues to utilise. 13. USING CUSTOM MAPS AND BACKGROUNDS TO ANALYSE LOCATION DATAUsing custom maps and background images allows us to create some effective reports and visualisations in Tableau. In this course we introduce you to the power of these with a simple example visualising building based data on a floorplan and show you how you can use animations and overlay your data onto any image, shape or map. 14. CREATE A ZOOM MEETINGS AND WEBINARS EFFECTIVENESS DASHBOARDWith the rise in online meetings and webinars showing no sign of letting up we look at how we can combine a number of the techniques we've used already in a real world example of creating a report that helps us see how effective and engaging our online webinars are. 15. BUILD AN EVENTS OR CONFERENCE SESSIONS BROWSERIn the final course of our Tableau Learning Pathway we celebrate the annual Tableau Conference and show you some more innovative uses of Tableau beyond reports and dashboards. In this project we show you how to create an interactive conference events viewer to allow users to explore what's on offer and also allow users to catch replays and on-demand recordings of TC21 presentations.
