Markus Lippus analyzed 23,858 tweets by 145 marketing technology & software Twitter accounts.
Here are the insights he uncovered:
1. The sweet spot for getting high tweet engagement is posting 8-10 tweets per day.
2. Using 4 mentions in a tweet will give 335.7% higher average engagement compared to 0 mentions.
3. It’s “ok” to re-post the same tweet 7 times, engagement only starts to fall after re-posting for the eighth time.
4. Words that were frequent in the top 5% most engaging tweets but not so widely used in other tweets: Thanks, Our, Check, In, Don’t, Top.
