There's a meteor shower afoot, if you can find it. You know the Orion Nebula? Sure you do. Just off of it is the constellation Taurus. This weekend, you may get a chance to get at the Taurids, a meteor shower radiating from that constellation. They come from the Comet 2P/Encke, discovered just a few years after Uranus. The meteor shower is small, and a Full Moon may dash hopes in some places, but they'll serve as a nice little appetizer for the fall's finest meteor shower, the upcoming Leonids.

You need to see this elusive meteor shower

The Taurids will be at their best this year overnight on Friday, November 11 and Saturday, November 12 in the northern hemisphere. This moderate meteor shower, generates meteors between mid-October and early December and in the southern hemisphere, reached another peak in mid-October.

The Moon will be in a first-quarter phase this year in the northern hemisphere, making for excellent viewing conditions. So be sure to brave the cold to see the Taurids peak in the sky.

The Mercedes-Benz modular mini camper looks perfect

Part-time van-lifers rejoice. Mercedes-Benz just teased its fully electric camper van concept, called the Concept EQT Marco Polo. The German car maker offered up a photo of its concept, but is planning to debut the electric van next month. While the December reveal will be just a conceptual vehicle, Mercedes-Benz is planning on making a production model later on.

Looking at the name gives us a good idea of what the Concept EQT Marco Polo will be. The EQT portion of the name means it will be an electrified version of a model in Mercedes-Benz’s T-Class category of small vans. The Marco Polo name references the automaker’s premium camper van buildout that we saw earlier this year that was based off its V-Class range. Of course, the Concept in its name means this model isn’t meant for market.

NASA reschedules its Artemis I moon launch for the fifth time

Brace yourselves for a bit of a shock: NASA is pushing back its Artemis I launch date yet again.

Teams at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida are battening down the hatches on Artemis I — literally. With Tropical Storm Nicole bearing down on eastern Florida, they won’t be rolling the rocket and spacecraft back into the Vehicle Assembly Building (VAB) this time, as they did in advance of Hurricane Ian back in September.

Instead, Artemis I will ride out the storm on Launch Pad 39B in hopes that its teams can have it ready for its latest launch date, November 16.
