First up: If you’re sending a Black Friday (or Cyber Monday or Giving Tuesday) email in the next few days, good luck! I hope things go great.

I’ve also got some good news to share: A lot of the best email tools are rolling out deals this week — up to 50% off annual plans on tools to help you send better emails and grow your lists. All of these are tools that I use on my site or with clients — these are tools I fully endorse!

(T
hese are also affiliate links, so I receive a small commission when you use them. This also happens to be one of the best ways to support my work — I really do appreciate when you use these links!)

Tools to help with email design

BEE Pro — BEE is a great tool for designing beautiful emails that you can export with a single click to ESPs like Active Campaign, Campaign Monitor, Mailchimp, Salesforce, and SendGrid. Sure, your ESP probably has their own template builder, but when it comes to something big — a series of end-of-the-year campaigns, selling tickets for a big event, or announcing a new newsletter launch — you might want to use a tool like BEE to make sure your email really stands out. Their Pro plan usually costs $360/year — but right now, they’re selling it for 50% off. Get BEE Pro for just $180 per year via this link.

Litmus — When I’m working with a client on a new email template, Litmus is my go-to tool to test and make sure everything looks great on all email platforms. But Litmus is more than a QA tool — it’s also a tool for pre-send spam testing, and they can provide additional data around reader engagement, including the impact of Apple’s MPP on your emails. And here’s their best deal of the year: Sign up for an annual subscription now and get two free months free + 20% off the annual rate (that’s $429 in savings over the course of the year).

Tools to help your grow your lists

WP Forms — This is what I use on the Inbox Collective site to convert readers to email subscribers. If you’ve got a WordPress site, it’s a fantastic tool — you can use it to collect email addresses, to run surveys or polls, and to collect payments (using Stripe or PayPal). Plus, it integrates with nearly every email platform. It’s already an amazing product at a reasonable price — I’m paying just $199/year to use it — but they’re discounting things down 50-70% this week, so if you’re on WordPress, you’ll want to take advantage of that offer now.

OptinMonster — If you’re looking to run pop-ups on your website, OptinMonster is a fantastic option. You can do a bit of everything with it: A/B testing, targeting based on geolocation, running countdown timers, or deploying exit intent pop-ups. It’s one of the tools I recommend to more advanced users who need a sophisticated tool to help them grow their email lists. And right now, they’re offering huge annual discounts — 44-60% off. For users with 100k monthly page views, you’d get $590 off your first year of OptinMonster. Check out the deal here.

Poptin — There is another pop-up option out there that I recommend: Poptin. It doesn’t have all the bells and whistles of OptinMonster, but it does everything you need it to do (pop-ups, toasters, responsive templates, targeting based on site behavior, and A/B testing), and at a really reasonable price. And they’ve got a fantastic deal right now: 35% off annual plans when you use the code BFPOPTIN22. Check out the full deal here (and make sure you use that code to get your discount!).

Tools to help with hosting

Bluehost — If you’re planning on building a website on WordPress, you should be hosting it on Bluehost. (Again, this is what I personally use!) And they’ve got annual discounts — lasting up to your first 36 months on Bluehost — that you should take advantage of. You can get three years of hosting for as little as $4.95/month, which is an absurdly reasonable price. Check out all of their offers here.

Carrd — This is one of my favorite tools for building beautiful landing pages without needing to know how to code. (It’s what I first used to build the Not a Newsletter sign-up page!) If you’re building a landing page to promote a new newsletter or course, or if you’re creating a simple portfolio website, it’s perfect. Carrd Pro was already absurdly cheap (I pay $49/year for it), but if you use the code BLK2022, you’ll get 40% off all Carrd Pro plans (including upgrades or renewals of an existing plan).
