Every announcement and trailer from The Game Awards 2022 — The Geoff Keighley show is on at like 1AM for me, so I was in bed. Here are the highlights. Sean Davies // Finger Guns Bayonetta Origins announced exclusively for Switch, coming March 2023 Liam Doolan // Nintendo Life ▶ The Super Mario Bros. Movie - Mushroom Kingdom Clip — Another quick look at the Mario movie (first shown at The Game Awards) — this time a minute and a half clip from early in the film. Illumination // YouTube ▶ The mystery of 'Ura Zelda' solved — Another week and another absolute banger of a video from Did You Know Gaming, this time looking at more scrapped Zelda projects, including games for the SNES and N64. Did You Know Gaming (Ft. Hard 4 Games) // YouTube Dragon Quest III HD-2D remake news coming "soon" teases series creator Alana Hagues // Nintendo Life The Outbound Ghost dev says Digerati released game without permission Jeffrey Rousseau // gamesindustry REVIEW Dragon Quest Treasures — "This is the type of game I will happily sink hours into without caring about whether or not I'm actually progressing beyond just building up my cache. A perfect game for those long winter nights". CJ Andriessen // Destructoid REVIEW Romancing SaGa: Minstrel Song Remastered — "another fine entry in a franchise that is well represented on Switch. [..] an enjoyable adventure as long as you come prepared for some open-ended RPG escapades.". However, Eric Ace writing at Cubed 3 wasn't as keen, calling out the "unnecessary complexity" of it. Neal Ronaghan // Nintendo World Report REVIEW Kukoos: Lost Pets — "Despite some technical issues on the Nintendo Switch, Kukoos: Lost Pets still might be one of the best games for younger audiences on the platform". Brett Posner-Ferdman // Nintendo Life Custom items are the best thing to happen to Mario Kart 8 Ed Nightingale // Eurogamer Pokémon Black and White doesn't need a remake - It needs a port Jacon Creswell // CBR Battle passes are everywhere – but few of them are good Rob Fahey // gamesindsutry The Steam Deck and the Switch aren't rivals, they're siblings Kate Gray // Nintendo Life Unsocial hours: The best video games to play in 'goblin mode' Keith Stuart // The Guardian
All releases are digital, Europe & U.S. unless otherwise stated. ⭐️ = Ones to Watch · 📦 = Physical release · 🎮 = Demo available
