💸 Can Anyone Make $36,000 of a Telescope Blog?

The year is coming to a close and that means this is the last issue of Nano Flips in 2023! To give you guys a quick some up of 2023 for the me (James) personally:

• Sold 1 High Six Figure ecommerce brand
• Sold 1 micro niche site from our portfolio
• Purchased 1 new micro niche site to add to our portfolio
• Advised on over 100+ online business purchases and sales

This doesn't even include some of the amazing wins from our other team members!

As iOS updates started eating us alive, we started a real serious push back into SEO and organic search. Its paid off well, but one of my sites has been bouncing in and out of google because of updates non stop! No worries, the plan doesn't change, we push forward knowing that we will ranking higher in the future.

Just to put this out there - next years goals include

• Buying or building a software business
• Growing this newsletter from 15,000 readers to 50,000
• Flipping another site from my our portfolio
• Launch our 12 month online business buying program

I still think that if you have a basic understanding of the business you're buying, and a plan to grow it, that buying an online business is the best way to really dive headfirst into profitable entrepreneur ship. But if money is super tight for you, it may not be the answer for you yet.

This Week’s Opportunities

A couple cool opportunities to look at as we finish out the year, including this one on MicroAcquire. The listing can be seen here​

Its a small wordpress management agency. If you already have an agency it could be a great acquisition.

The seller describes it as a profitable agency with $64,354 in TTM revenue and $32,088 in TTM profit that is a full-service WordPress management service catering to nonprofits. Can be run by a single person for 1 to 3 hours per week, or absorbed by an existing agency.

✅ $32,088 in TTM profit

✅ $5,362 in revenue last month

✅ $2,674 in profit last month

If you own an agency already and think it could be an easy upsell to your clients, I might try and structure a creative deal with 50% of the money up front and 50% seller financing, where you pay the seller from the agencies profits. Do your own due diligence!

The next interesting opportunity is from Flippa - the listing can be found here​

Its a 4 years old Astronomy blog about telescopes and astrophotography. With a $9k reserve. Which if it passes your due diligence might be a very fair deal.

The seller describes the site:

• Stable income since 2018
• Never been hit by any Google Search Algorithm Update
• Expensive hobby niche
• Low competition
• Huge growth potential
• High Ads RPM and Amazon commissions

A quick search in ahrefs shows me a ton of keywords that one might be able to rank for easily with some great new content. If I were to buy this i would create 1-2 pieces of content a week for it over the next year.

I do believe with reasonable effort a site like this could get up to $1k a month and sold for $36k+ in 12 months time

As always...do your own due diligence, the above is based off of what I see as an opportunity from the info provided in the listing and some light due diligence, not a deep dive. It just one of many scenarios that could play out and its up to you to do your own due diligence and see if this makes sense for you!
