On Feb 27, Daehong Communications, a subsidiary of South Korean conglomerate Lotte Group, has signed a strategic partnership with Polygon to jointly promote the development of Lotte Group’s NFT project.

4. Animoca Brands expands Web3 investment to the Middle East link

Hong Kong-based blockchain video gaming unicorn Animoca Brands is planning a major push into the Middle East after the Hong Kong government recently sought closer ties to the region, as the company continues to make big bets on Web3 start-ups amid cooling enthusiasm in the industry. The Middle East’s emerging markets offer Animoca great opportunities given the region’s crypto-friendly regulations, strong gaming culture, and young population, Siu said.

5. China’s manufacturing PMI reaches highest level since May 2012 link

China’s manufacturing PMI rose to 52.6 in February, the highest since May 2012. The Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) is a measure of the prevailing direction of economic trends in manufacturing.

6. Huawei Cloud announced the launch of the Metaverse & Web3.0 Alliance link

After Tencent Cloud, Huawei Cloud also announced the launch of the Metaverse & Web3.0 Alliance. The first batch of partners include BlockChain Solutions, Deepbrain Chain, Polygon, Morpheus Labs, etc. However, some of these projects have a poor reputation.

7. Complete Avalanche node is now available on Tencent Cloud link

Ava Labs announced a strategic partnership with Tencent Cloud, and the complete Avalanche node is now available on Tencent Cloud. The node is synchronized with the Avalanche public blockchain, and the partnership aims to provide developers with fast node deployment. 8. Berkah Digital and Alchemy Pay jointly obtain Indonesia license link

Fiat-crypto gateway, Alchemy Pay, and fintech firm, PT Berkah Digital Pembayaran, announce that they have jointly obtained Indonesian licences issued by the Central Bank of Indonesia to operate remittances and fund transfers. Singapore-based Alchemy Pay is known for its provision of on & off-ramps, crypto payments, and NFT checkout to Web3 platforms. PT Berkah Digital Pembayaran operates from Indonesia in the field of financial technology and is known primarily for BDPay.

9. Binance CEO CZ to attend the Hong Kong Web3 Festival 2023 link

Binance founder and CEO Changpeng Zhao confirmed that he will attend the “Hong Kong Web3 Festival 2023” on April 12, 2023, co-hosted by Wanxiang Blockchain Lab and HashKey Group and organized by W3ME. He will deliver the closing speech of the first day of the event through online live streaming. Earlier, Mr. Paul Chan Mo-po, Financial Secretary of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, confirmed that he will attend the opening ceremony of the event and deliver the keynote speech.

10. OKLink and OKCoin Japan announce strategic partnership to enhance platform compliance link

OKLink Fintech Limited, a subsidiary of OKLink Holdings Limited, has reached a strategic partnership agreement with licensed Japanese exchange OKCoin Japan to provide Know-Your-Transaction (KYT) services to help enhance the platform’s overall compliance standards and build a secure trading environment.
