In January we asked you what biz improvements you wanted to make in 2023. Getting your website up to snuff for more sales, brand building, and better chances at coveted media placements were at the top of your list!

We're bringing in e-commerce website expert Shelley Easter for a free workshop all about how to build your very own Shopify website (or improve the site you've already DIYed)

If you’re spending precious time trying to get started with your site or agonizing over design and technical details, this workshop is for you.

Shelley’s a Shopify partner and e-commerce designer with 15 years of experience and is THE person to talk to about your website and online sales.

At this free workshop, you’ll learn:
  • The best website platform (spoiler alert: it’s Shopify) for your product business
  • The 5 things your website must have if you want to turn visitors into customers
  • Plus a live Q&A with Shelley – this is a great time to get your Shopify questions answered by a true pro!
Save your spot here!

The details:
What: Sell More with Shopify FREE workshop
When: March 21st at 12pm ET

There will be a replay available for everyone who registers, so if you can’t attend live, still sign up to get it.

Show, Don't Tell

How to pick the best website platform for your online store

This week's Show, Don't Tell is also brought to you by our friend and Shopify guru Shelley of Launch Party. She breaks down the difference between a website and a marketplace, does an overview of the three common web platforms (Squarespace, Wordpress, and Shopify) including the pros and cons of each, and explains why Shopify is the best platform if you run an online store.

The post includes several examples of clear, clean, well-designed pages built with Shopify. Because there is no better way to learn, than from an example, and you know we love an example.

Good Links Round Up

1. Speaking of websites, nothing is worse than starting with a blank slate. That’s why we love this curated collection of beautiful landing pages from across the internet. Psst- did you sign up for our workshop all about how to improve your Shopify site?

2. You’re probably already deep into posting Reels, but maybe you’ve been posting without really remembering what your initial goals were. For the most up-to-date info, check out Instagram Reels in 2023: The Ultimate Guide to All Your Reel Questions.

3. On the above, short video topic-- here’s a great example of a TikTok process video from a handmade rug creator.

4. As small business owners, we’ve all had that thought…what if I just quit and head back to the (easier??) 9-5 large company hustle? In this super candid episode, Janine of Feel Good Retail talks 25 things I’m quitting instead of my business.

5. This post is IN DEPTH and it’s about one of our favorite topics- newsletters and email marketing, your most powerful digital storytelling and sales tools that don’t rely on ever-changing algorithms. This post talks about how to increase engagement, tips to improve deliverability, and ways you can use email to build brand authenticity.

Wolf Craft PR Tip

Tell the stories you want the media to share about you

As you grow your business you will want to try and get press about you and/or your company as a whole, so you need to tell those stories.

Here are some places you can tell them:

✔on your site, about page and homepage
✔in your blog
✔in your newsletter
✔on your social media platforms

It’s important to clearly state what you do and what your values are, but if you want PR you need to create more in-depth stories about your brand, projects, and collections.

Editors, potential buyers, and stans need to understand what sets you and your company apart from your peers.
