Meta Verified is positioned as a way to provide its Instagram and Facebook users with three key benefits:

  1. Account verification
  2. Proactive account protection
  3. Direct account support

Additionally, subscribers gain access to exclusive features such as unique stickers on Stories and FB Reels, as well as 100 Stars monthly to express support for creators.

Sounds good, but the service also comes with some limitations. For example:

  1. If you wish to change the name, username, date of birth, or photo on your profile, you must go through a reverification process— during which time, you’ll lose your verified status, checkmark badge, and access to any additional paid Meta Verified features.
     
  2. Meta’s official documentation currently states that business profiles aren’t eligible for Meta Verified.
