Google Perspective Filter Will Surface More Social Content in Search Results

Google is using artificial intelligence (AI) to organize search results in new ways that help users find answers from people and perspectives rather than just quick facts. 

The company is rolling out a Perspectives filter in the coming weeks that will exclusively show long- and short-form video, images, and written posts from discussion boards, Q&A sites, and social media platforms. Google also plans to display details about the creators of content. 

Additionally, the firm is improving how it ranks search content with a greater focus on information with unique expertise and experience, placing greater emphasis on quality and originality.

  • LinkedIn Creator Tool: Users who have their language set to English will see a new Conversations Happening Now section that displays posts to review and possibly repost “with your own commentary to join the conversation.”
