Do you ever want to create content in many different ways? Perhaps you have one headline and you want to change one word, but you have something like 5 examples, or 15, or 1,500. I made a google sheet add-on that allows you to parse spintax. This is spin syntax. And if you don't know what it is, I show you in this video​

What is Spintax?

Spintax is written with pipes separating content you want to randomly select. {Hi|Hello|Hey} would either be Hi, or Hello, or Hey.

Why use this Spintax Tool?

This Spintax tool allows you to write an enormous amount of content with a few different inputs. Combine these functions with OpenAI's API call, in a spreadsheet to bulk create content generated via AI.

What is Spintax?

Spintax or Spin Syntax allows you to write sentences, write headlines, write content and come up with multiple variations.Instead of writing out each variation you can "spin" some select words or phrases and get the variations.

For example if I wanted to write a headline with different numbers at the beginning of the headline, I can write it like
- 10 Spintax Examples
- 20 Spintax Examples
- 30 Spintax Examples

or I can write
{10|20|30} Spintax Examples

and use Spintax by Better Sheets to parse it out.

This can get out of hand, right?

I mean that in a good way.

You can generate spintax for cold email outreach that's different wordings of the same sentences. You can use spintax to generate an epic amount of new blog, or link collections. You can use spintax to generate an almost infinite number of variations of blog introduction paragraphs. Or blurbs that are not duplicates about the same thing, with different words.

Content Variation

As I have pointed variations of your content, headlines, titles are all good uses of Spintax. If an article needs to be distributed across several different platforms, linkedin and twitter and blog and facebook, it doesn't really matter if it's all the same text. But if you want to generate let's say a unique tweet and tweet it 52 times (for every week in a year) you might want to change the text a little bit.

SEO Benefits

By using spintax to generate multiple variations of an article, you can target different keyword variations and increase your chances of ranking well in search engine results pages. I've seen examples of purely just noun swapping. And I don't mean to say that that is a beneficial practice. It works until it doesn't and then Google de-ranks you. But you are more clever than that. You can use spintax to generate the title, the intro, and perhaps hand write more articles than others.

A/B Testing

Spintax is great for coming up with the final A/B tests. But also A/Z tests because you can spin content in more than 1 way. You can spin it many many times over. You can test between hundreds or thousands of variations with very little effort.
