Twitter's buzzing with acquisitions in the newsletter space.

We don't usually cover breaking news — we prefer to go deep on deals once the founder has come up for air and can share details.

But these deals show just how hot the newsletter space is right now.

Here are three announcements that caught our eye:

1. Sparkloop

This SaaS that helps newsletter operators with growth, is joining ConvertKit, an email service provider. (At They Got Acquired, we use both Sparkloop and ConvertKit.)

2. The Peak

This business and tech newsletter out of Canada, with 115,000 subscribers, sold for $5M to ZoomerMedia.

3. Duuce

This marketplace for buying and selling newsletters was acquired by Wisdom Media.

Here's what buyer Scott Oldford had to say about it:

Interesting to note: Each of these acquired startups is only a few years old.

Sparkloop launched in 2019 (though the referral features that are likely most valuable to ConvertKit only went live in the last year or so). The Peak launched in 2020, and Duuce launched in 2019.
