Issue 276 - Apple AirPlay?

Cybertruck

First Cybertruck built at Giga Texas ðŸ“·
The official Tesla Twitter account posted a photo of the first production Cybertruck built at Giga Texas. Usually, the initial few production vehicles are used for testing. But once Tesla finalizes a couple of things, we should expect the first deliveries to occur. Congratulations to the Tesla team!

Cybertruck, no cargo tunnel 📷
In a photo published of the Cybertruck body in the production line, we can observe that there is no option it will have a cargo tunnel into the vault, something that we rumored a while ago.

Cybertruck seat testing ðŸ“¹
This robot performs 50,000 ingress/egress cycles on the seat, which is equivalent to a lifetime of use.

Software Updates

Apple AirPlay?
In a recent update, the Twitter account Tesla App iOS found some evidence that Tesla might be working on AirPlay support. AirPlat is Apple's protocol that allows streaming music and video, it's quite possible that Apple is introducing it as a way to stream higher quality music to your car, even maybe video.

Full wiper controls without touching the screen or the stall
In version 2023.20, Tesla Model 3 and Model Y owners can now change the speed of the wipers without touching the stalk. This update allows them to customize the left steering wheel button to adjust the wiper speed, turn them off, or set them to auto.

Spotify redesign 📷
It looks good, I hope it works better too :).

Solar and Charging

Tesla V4 Supercharger with contactless credit card reader 📷
Tesla Owners UK shared some pictures of a V4 Supercharger, which includes a contactless credit card reader. According to some Redditors, this is now a requirement in the European Union, even though the UK is no longer part of the EU. Regardless, if there's a way for non-Tesla cars to charge without needing the app, it should make the process easier for them, although nothing beats the convenience of the plug and charge 😀

Charge on Solar 📷
With this new feature, your Tesla can charge using only the excess solar energy produced by your Tesla solar panels or roof. This is a fantastic feature that highlights the value of vertical integration in these products. Instructions on how to enable it and what software versions are required can be found in the article.

FSD

End-to-end networks coming soon to the Tesla FSD stack ðŸ“¹
This video from Ashok - Director of Autopilot at Tesla - talks about how Tesla is working on replacing hundreds of small models with one large model that interfaces with everything and uses Generative AI to predict and output what the car should do.

🤓 What the Acronym
As a Tesla fan, I find myself sometimes having to remember what are all those acronyms, here is a list of the ones you can find in this issue.
