Why is the personal information of some Georgia grand jurors circulating online?
Please click Display images in your email app to view this email properly

Source: Truth Social

  1. Summary
The sheriff's office of Fulton County, GA, on Thursday said it is investigating potential threats being made to members of the grand jury that voted last week to indict former President Trump. The announcement came after private information about the jurors began circulating online.

An indictment is a public record, and the standard practice in Georgia is to publish the names of grand jury members, partly to allow defendants to challenge the composition of the jury. Users of Trump's Truth Social platform encouraged their peers to investigate the jurors to uncover bias. Photos, social media profiles, and the home addresses of some jurors have since been shared online, including on websites linked to extremist attacks.

Separately, a woman was arrested for threatening Judge Tanya Chutkan, who is overseeing the federal election case against Trump. Chutkan last week warned that Trump's "inflammatory" public statements could threaten the legal proceedings. Experts believe Chutkan would be reluctant to begin contempt-of-court proceedings that could hypothetically jail Trump.

Yes - Criminal acts need to have accountability. The more soft you are on criminals they will just keep committing crimes. For new offenders it just emboldens them. If there were consequences then we would have less casual criminals and could concentrate on the more serious problems.
