GrowthHackingIdea - 100K inbound leads [case study]

Clearbit, a provider of APIs had a problem. Their product was built for developers, but developers are not always the purchase decision makers. Clearbit had to win over whole organizations.

They found a solution - to give away free tools that show off small pieces of their big product. It worked - gaining over 100K inbound leads for their paid products.

Here's one of their most dumb-simple, and most successful products - Company Logo API.

All it does - is give you a logo of any website. For example:

That's it? Yes. No registration. Zero friction.

This unbelievably simple tool made the front page of Hacker News (over 500 points) and Product Hunt (over 1,000 upvotes), as well as coverage from The Next Web (over 800 shares).
