This has been a fun year for The Steal Club.

We've 2x our subscriber number and our revenue compared to last year.

And in big part that's thanks to everyone reading this!

Couldn't be more thankful 🧡

I have so much fun putting TSC together, and from what I hear, some of you also find it super valuable.

For a creator, that's the best compliment one can get.

But this is only the beginning.

For 2024, I want to turn The Steal Club into the go-to place for creators (new and seasoned) to learn about growing and monetizing audiences.

For that vision to come true, new things will happen.

I have a really cool project already in the works. Hint: 🎙️

I'm also plotting new things which aren't very clear yet but will be very soon.

#1 - How to structure a viral LinkedIn post

One of my big goals for 2024 is to build an audience on LinkedIn.​

As any good thief would do, I'm lurking on the platform to see what the top creators are doing.

One of my recent thefts is the SLAY post framework from Lara Acosta.​

Lara just hit 100k followers on the platform.

She's one of the most recognized voices over there and one of my favorite new follows.

Here's how her framework works:

Story. Lesson. Actionable. You.

#2 - Survey your waitlist

Matt Barker is a well-known copywriter on LinkedIn.

While working on his upcoming course, he created a waitlist for anyone interested.

That's already smart. It helps validate interest.

But what I really liked about his approach is that right after signing up for the waitlist, you got immediately redirected to a short survey.

The questions:

• What are you mostly looking for my help with?
• How would you describe yourself?
• What is your biggest challenge right now?
• What is your dream outcome from writing online?
• If I solved your main problem, how would that impact your life? (Open-ended question)

Two things make this great:

• Getting an idea of who the interested people are, which helps you tweak the content for better impact
• Getting customer pain points and copy directly from them for a future sales page

Really smart move!

#3 - Video on your newsletter landing page

Gunnar, from Newsletter Deep Dives, is testing adding a video to his newsletter sign-up page.

He basically changed the headline and sub-headline for a video 👇

✅ Pros

• Feels personal. You get to see (and hear) the person behind the emails.
• Different. It's definitely not the usual for a newsletter sign-up page.

❌ Cons

• Friction. Are people really willing to watch a 20-second video if they? are not familiar with you?
• Video presence. If you are not used to being on videos, your energy and presence might throw some people off
