Google’s E-E-A-T for SEO is so basic: Google is a search engine, not a content appreciation engine. There isn’t a universal ‘good’. Different kinds of people like different kinds of content. Just because someone is outranking you doesn’t mean bad content is ranking.

What Is Google’s Navboost signal?: Google’s Navboost enhances search results for navigation queries using user click data, focusing on relevancy and user intent. Navboost tracks user clicks for up to 13 months to improve search accuracy, previously extending to 18 months before 2017.

The SEO fundamental that everyone gets wrong: It’s search intent.


💻 Digital marketing

I tested premium AI prompts to see if they’re worth it: I spent ~$80 to purchase five premium ChatGPT prompts and ran a blind test among the members of our marketing team. Spoiler alert: They’re not worth it.

Unique content strategy examples: No matter how big a company or how complicated its products, a content strategy always boils down to answering three questions:

  • What challenges do you want to overcome?

  • What leverage can you exploit?

  • Which types of content can overcome those challenges?

I wrote 100+ blog posts for the Ahrefs blog. Here’s what I learned: I finally hit the milestone of 100 blog posts for Ahrefs. This is my reflection of that journey and the lessons I’ve learned. The most important one: Writers should be practitioners; that’s how they can become believable and share real tips and advice.
