Local newsletter company 6AM City has raised more than $10 million in series A funding round led by local broadcaster Tegna.

How it works: As part of Tegna's investment, 6AM will include news and weather from Tegna's local broadcast stations in its daily newsletters in overlapping markets

• It will also promote Tegna's morning newscasts in those emails, and will integrate local sports headlines from Tegna's local sports network "Locked On," into its coverage.
• In return, Tegna will distribute 6AM City content on its website, podcasts and over the top TV channels.
• The two firms will also work together to co-launch newsletters in two additional markets this year.

We love a little starter site for those of you with smaller budgets who want to just dip their toes in before getting into bigger deals. If you have wanted to explore owning an online business, and love hunting, this could be a perfect fit for you.

Key Highlights

• ~75% of the current ranking keywords have informational intent (according to SEMRUSH). The buyer can focus on editing and improving the content that is already on the site.
• Site is currently monetized via Amazon, and Ezoic. Before joining Ezoic in October 2023, the site was on Adsense.
• The traffic is pretty well spread out among the articles.
• There were 6 out-of-stock items found (according to Site Buddy). These could be fixed for a small win.
• Seems as if maybe slightly hit, but id say looking like its bottomed out. Good deal at using its last 3 month average 30x as a valuation multiple (roughly where its listed)
• Seller used AI to create content
• Brandable domain name

Ok this is a small site I get it...but some of you love this stuff.

First thing is first, I would fix all the links to out of stock items...would be an immediate bump in revenue.

Then I would ACTUALLY make original content for this site, as a hunter (not me duh, the buyer)

Those product reviews? Actually make the videos. Want to write the article but dont want to WRITE it.

Take the transcript of you talking about the hunting product youre trying, plug it into chat GPT, tell it "take this transcript and summarize it and make it an interesting and compelling article, that makes the reader want to buy the product Im talking about. Include placements for images, a video, and calls to action. Make it conversion focused"

Keep pushing! This isnt some quick and easy flip, but its for sale for $1800 and if you snag it for $1500 or so you may have bought a very undervalued micro business for you to put to practice everything you need to to grow it and flip it for $5-10k as a side hustle in 12 months.

Dont forget $300 a month, just $10 a day, is a business you can sell for $10k. Its not rocket science to get this to $300 a month. Just a little consistent time and effort.

Once done with this one? Use that $10k to go bigger
