On a mission to help thousands of people buy and sell startups
Hey guys. For the last couple of months, I was focused on testing our new platform. But when we reached the polishing stage, I finally returned to writing my lovely newsletter. The main reason for creating a second version was the limited ability of our tech stack (Webflow) to implement some features like accounts, chat, and listing management. It was important for our customers to have these features to close more deals more quickly. So, I decided to migrate to a custom backend solution but still use no-code tools like Xero, Ably, and Wized to make development more cost-effective. After all, why not create a branded design if we rework the platform? So, I found and hired designer and developer from Ukraine, and they did a great job. From idea to release in nine months. I can’t believe that we will release our new version in a matter of days, on March 11th. I’ll prepare a small gift for all my subscribers when we launch, so keep an eye on your inbox.
👋 WelcomeWelcome to the 210 new people joining this week. Let me know what you think of your first issue. Replying helps Google realize it’s not a spam. Prefer Twitter? Drop me a DM here. Now let’s crack on with the newsletter ☕️ 🎉 Recently sold startupWe recently sold a web app called Coding Notes. It educates web development by providing detailed notes and comprehensive flashcards for HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Next.js and more. Coding Notes had 260 customers and $1,300 in annual revenue. It was built using Next.js and TailwindCSS. The project was sold for $3,000 (2.31x multiplier). I really liked the story behind this project. The founder scratched its own itch and built a great solution to the problem he had. Here’s a short excerpt:
If you have a profitable startup, feel free to submit it, and we'll find you a buyer. 🍊 Microns v2 updateI have worked hard for the last couple of months to prepare a new platform for our customers. It includes a brand-new design for all pages and a user dashboard with the most requested features. Buyers will have a comfy place to chat with sellers. Sellers will have the ability to manage their listings on their own. I know simplicity is important, so I created the platform I want to use daily. I remember the time when I started two years ago. I didn’t have a plan or complete vision at that time. I didn’t even know this “side project” could change my life until we reached this point. Now it’s clear to me. I want to help thousands of people buy and sell profitable bootstrapped startups safely anywhere. This will be our mission and primary goal for 2024. I can’t believe this would be possible without your support. So, when I release the platform on March 11th, I will keep the old pricing for our early customers. It’s my sign of loyalty and appreciation for your support when I started this project. 📰 Looking for new ownersAI Meme Generator
