You won’t be paying this seller fee—for now [Crew Review]

Hey Reader,

Because of public demand (and pressure), Amazon is postponing the implementation of its controversial low inventory level fee.

But let’s get the facts straight. If you’re an FBA seller who meets the requirements, you will still be charged for the month of April. However, Amazon will credit the amount back to your account at the end of the month. Then it will be applied as previously planned on May.

It’s clear that the company is doing this because of the backlash. But based on its post on Seller Central, the postponement is in order to give sellers a chance to see the end-to-end experience and understand how the fee will affect their business.

This isn’t the first time Amazon did something similar, i.e., delay the implementation of a fee because of negative feedback. But based on their past actions, you can expect that this will push through 100%.

Here’s how you can avoid the low inventory level fee: make sure that either the long-term historical days of supply (last 90 days) or short-term historical days of supply (last 30 days) are above 28 days (4 weeks).
