Changes to Amazon’s returns fee [Crew Review]

Want to be a guest on the EcomCrew Podcast? Here's what you need to know.

Hey Reader,

This coming June 1, Amazon will implement its expanded returns processing fee. Here’s a quick illustration of how it works:

Amazon recently announced a couple of updates about the new fee. Read about them here.

Let Your Audience Pick

Which version of your product image will your customers be drawn to the most?

Which description would make them want to click “Buy Now”?

Stop wondering and get the answers straight from the source with Pickfu.

Pickfu is a market research platform that helps e-commerce business owners figure out what their customers want by asking them directly through surveys. Results are generated within just a couple of hours (but from our experience, the turnaround time is shorter than that).

This Week's Trending Product: Dragon Egg

The spotlight in festive decorations for this month is Dragon Eggs. These eggs have become a novel idea for filling Easter baskets with something other than the usual chocolates.

The Dragon Egg has experienced an astounding +304% month-over-month growth, with a remarkable monthly search volume of 117,286.

Top Seller Spotlight: Bedsure

One of this month’s top Amazon sellers is Bedsure, a brand that was started by a woman in 1979 in Wuxi, China. Her passion for textiles and beddings inspired her to make decorative pillows and blankets. From seven sewing machines, the company eventually turned into our top seller’s parent company, Shinebed.

Bedsure is under Shinebed along with two other brands:

  • Double Stitch, which was established just last year, and
  • Lesure, a brand that focuses on pets (think dog beds, blankets, and foam stairs)

Etc.

Somethin’s poppin’ in Seattle. Fast fashion giant Shein is hosting a pop-up experience in Amazon’s birthplace next week. It will also open an office in Washington soon.

Walked out, walked back in. Amazon got rid of its cashierless “Just Walk Out” tech in its own stores. But it’s offering the service to others.

More employees for MercadoLibre. The Latin-American e-commerce platform will increase its staff by 30% this year. This is to support its continued growth and expansion.
