Forbes - COVID-19 and Earth Day

The big news of the day: a medical examiner in Santa Clara county recently confirmed that the first U.S. death from COVID-19 happened in California, not Washington state as previously believed. Not only that, but the death occurred three weeks earlier than the initial “first” death, opening up questions about how long the coronavirus has actually been circulating in our country. On the other coast, New York is continuing to battle the federal government. The NYC council has proposed its own hazard pay bonuses for essential workers after similar measures failed in Congress, and Governor Andrew Cuomo says that the current coronavirus relief bill does not include enough funding for states.
