We are hosting the 2024 Inaugural Seedscout Summit at Culdesac on October 24th later this month. The idea behind it is, for one day in Phoenix, Arizona, we are creating a space for founders to think big and meet others doing the same. Usually, outside of SF, ambition is stifled; not embraced. And if it’s not stifled, it’s lost wandering, looking to find its way. Truth is, the highly ambitious are lonely, and we need each other. So for at least one day, the 2024 Seedscout Summit is a cabal for these people.

It’s a one-day event. The agenda is packed from 8am-5pm with amazing sessions, and a very casual and informal mixer in the evening a few miles away from the venue. The speakers include the managing director for Peter Thiel’s family office, an angel investor who has literally invested in over 60+ companies at the pre-seed stage, a CEO who scaled from $0 to $3M ARR in under three years, and a founder who got Draper to fund his pre-seed round to build a modern-day SpaceX (and may actually pull it off).

If you’re wondering if this is for you, it probably is. We don’t care if you studied at an Ivy League. We don’t care if you worked at Meta or Stripe. We don’t even care if you’re a first-time founder dipping your toes in entrepreneurship. We all started there. We care that you want to do big things in your life, and entrepreneurship is your vessel to realize your ambition. It’s for people who want to take a motivation to want something great for yourself and turning it into millions (billions?) of dollars in value, created out of thin air (and a ton of hard work). If there’s enough interest, I’ll book an Airbnb so you can stay with other founders flying in for the summit, adding to your networking experience. If we don’t book an Airbnb, the primary hotel we’re working with offers rates of around $150 a night (which will be the same rate for the Airbnb). We are aiming to keep this intimate, 120 people max. So if you’re interested, make a move fast or else we may sell out.

Oh, and one more thing. The last session of the day will be my keynote, outlining where Seedscout has been, where we are now, and where we are going. I will be presenting a new model that we’ve been fine-tuning for 3 years, that I believe could offer a credible, viable alternative to startup accelerators. If we execute correctly, every accelerator will be put out of business within 10 years. The predatory terms, perverse incentives, and disorganized chaos have destroyed more value than it’s created; I think It’s time to end the accelerator era of Silicon Valley and startup creation.

At the 2024 Seedscout Summit, I will not just unveil how we will fix this clusterf*ck of an early-stage startup funneling mechanism for investors, but share hard data on how our approach is already making a difference (and has been since 2021).
