I wanted to share with you something that I wrote for my book, which didn’t quite fit in anywhere so had to be cut. It’s about being ghosted by one of my best friends and even though it wasn’t right for the book, I still wanted to share it with you all because I know a lot of you struggle with friendship woes, judging by the messages I receive and the posts in the Facebook group.

I also think that sometimes the biggest heartbreaks in our lives can happen because of friendships rather than romantic partners but not enough attention is given to this. When you’re single, this can be particularly brutal because we rely so much on our friendships and as I wrote about in my book, they are our ‘survival-critical relationships’.

I wanted to say I hope you enjoy this but that might be the wrong way to put it when it’s about something so painful. But maybe it helps you feel less alone.
