200+ Places to promote your SaaS, and Prototype Vs MVP

Tidbits
  • You might be one project away from success
  • Did you know that water drops can dent a rock? The key is consistency over time.
  • When you don't want to do something...At the time of greatest resistance...Go ahead and do it anyway!
  • Your skills to code/build are yours alone. Unless you are solving a customer problem there is no business, it is just your hobby.
  • Customer DOES NOT give a damn about your programming language - you do..
  • 2010-20 was the decade of code. Now, we are moving into the decade of community: One where community, not just code, is at the center of product development and successful organizations.
  • Successful relationships, whether they are marriages, business or friendships, are all about doing things together. The world needs new leadership, but the new leadership is about working together.
  • ''People think focus means saying yes to the thing you've got to focus on. But that's not what it means at all. It means saying no to the hundred other good ideas that there are... I'm actually as proud of the things we haven't done as the things I have done...'' - Steve Jobs
  • The compounding effect of small decisions adding up over time is great to see.
  • You do not rise to the level of your goals. You fall to the level of your systems.
Growth & Sales
Where can I promote my Saas?

Please go through all of them. You will discover many new places to post your startup.

Is there one thing you did that greatly improved your search engine rankings?
  • SEO is like running a startup. Solve a real problem for someone. In this case, the way of doing it is through content. For any starter, I would say just to focus on creating compelling content. Optimize it for SEO later. It's much more important that you actually have content. Than creating perfect content. Optimizing is easier than creating something perfect.
  • Use yourwebsite.com/blog instead of blog.yourwebsite.com because blog.yourwebsite.com means another website from Google's side, so you have to optimize two websites.
  • Use schema markup
  • For experts, I would recommend looking into TD-IDF. TF-IDF (term frequency-inverse document frequency) is a statistical measure that evaluates how relevant a word is to an article in a collection of articles. Let's say you are a blog that writes about space stations. You do a TD-IDF analysis and find that the word "space station junk" is extremely relevant to blog posts that discuss the topic of stations. However, you are not using this word in your blog posts. The move here would be to include this keyword in your space station content to make it more relevant. If you do this at a large scale, you will greatly improve content relevancy, leading to increased search visibility. Check out this Moz guide for more.

Product development
Prototype vs MVP

MVP is the minimum FEATURE SET required to test a concept/product. In a nutshell:

  • Designed well
  • Coded well
  • Architected well
  • Zero gold plating / nice-to-haves
  • Only the features required to prove or disprove the value proposition

Whereas the prototype is something quick and dirty that can be thrown away once it has served its purpose. In a nutshell:

  • Take shortcuts
  • Hard code things
  • Use sloppy database queries
  • Don't worry too much about UI design
