New Fontaines! New Billie! New Dominic! What a day

Hello,

Today we shall be mostly sweating and listening to new albums from Dominic Fike! Fontaines DC! and Alanis Morissette! All very good.

The first actual indoor live gig happened this week. It didn't sound great – partly because it was Frank Turner – but to quote D:Ream, things can only get better.

Give this a quick skim then go and pour something cold and delicious down your neck. Until next time!
Farewell Miss Mercy
Leonie Cooper remembers a true one-off, Girls Together Outrageously's Miss Mercy who died on Tuesday. We're off to apply some eyeliner in her honour.
BOYS IN A BETTER BAND?
Fontaines DC's eagerly awaited second album ' A Hero's Death' is out today. Emily Mackay meets the band to have a chat about why they really, really didn't want to make another 'Dogrel'. The album is great (and so is this feature), so give it a read.
DEATH BY 1000 BUNDLES
I remember when a bundle meant everyone jumping on top of each other at the end of a night out. Ah, the good old days. For this week's Subtweets column, Jenessa Williams looks into a different type of bundle – that of the album release – exploring whether the practice is exploiting die-hard fans or just a necessary measure if artists are to survive.
TRULY A GOOD WEEK FOR MUSIC
Loadsa good albums this week and loadsa good tracks too, including new ones from Billie Eilish, Black Honey and Jorja Smith. Check out our 45s of the week.
