How We’re Charting A Successful Year Ahead

“You went through what I went through, you would feel desperate to win” - Lil Durk, “Kanye Krazy”

It’s been a big start to the year for the For(bes) The Culture community. At the end of January, we announced our ongoing State of Black Entrepreneurship project, through which we’re aiming to define, rectify and create Black history through historical research, as well as new quantitative data and multimedia storytelling to illustrate how Black entrepreneurship stands across industries in the present day.

And last week, we held our inaugural
Culturally Accountable Summit, a two-day event packed with robust, insightful discussions about personal wellness and professional development, not to mention sound advice: “[The company] is not the prize,” SHAVONE., director of communications and creative partnerships at VSCO and For(bes) The Culture advisory member, told the virtual audience during a fireside chat. “Newsflash, you’re the prize. You are the talent. You’re the vision.”

During the conference we also highlighted results from our inaugural
Black and Brown in Corporate America survey. One standout piece of data: Only 19% of survey respondents are extremely satisfied with their current employer.

Follow along as we continue highlighting and shaping culture. It’s going to be an exciting—and culture shifting—year.
