How can you get higher commissions from the Amazon Associates program?

Unless you’re a big company doing a large volume of sales, I wouldn’t have thought it possible. However, Austin Tuwiner has found one way to successfully do it!

Austin is a marketer who dropped out of college at 19 to pursue online business. Rather than study, he wanted to focus on his niche site in the crypto space.

He bought an existing domain in a private deal and grew it to an estimated 150K traffic per month.

He has since sold this site (find out why in the interview below) and is now working on another affiliate site in the scuba diving niche. He is also bootstrapping an affiliate marketing SaaS tool called Afflytics.

This week, Austin joins us on the podcast to share what he’s learned about affiliate marketing.

Besides the great tip on how to get higher Amazon commission rates (which you’ll have to listen to the episode to get), he has a ton of excellent ideas on how to grow niche sites.

He shares how he doesn’t do regular link-building, but rather reaches out to the brands he is promoting and asks for links from them. I think it’s true what he says, that these links are much more valuable than many of the links we get from traditional outreach.
