How does someone go from selling used clothes to building a $1,000 a month website?

Better yet, this person took what they learned from that first website and built an online empire now doing $25k to $90k a month.

Chelsea Clarke of Her Paper Route dot com joins us for an interview this week, and yes, her best month so far this year was $90k in revenue!

How does she do it?

Chelsea describes herself as “a niche website investor, growth-hacker, and Business Intermediary who helps people buy, scale, and sell online businesses.”

She started at zero, like the rest of us.

Her first online business was selling clothing on eBay while at college, though she went on to get a job in marketing. However, after having her first child, she realized she wanted to stay home with her new baby after the maternity leave had finished.

This is what drove her to start and grow an affiliate site in the beauty niche.

After a year she decided to sell her first niche site and she used that money to launch and grow what is now her main site, Her Paper Route.

Alongside this site, she has a website marketplace that generates a decent chunk of her income through commissions.

I'm not sure it's the most robust list on getting to revenue, but it does do a great job of step by step of how to select a niche.

The steps involve:

• Tips on how to find fast-growing markets
• Finding active and growing communities related to these markets
• How to analyze community members
• Calculating how much money you can make from an audience

The steps he outlines are both research driven and a bit analytical, but doesn't overlook doing a simple gut check.

Matteo's section titled "😴 Do something else for 1 or 2 days" does just that.

Take a step away for a couple days and see if the excitement for the niche is still there, if it is you may have found the niche for you.
