The Jordan Harbinger Show

For long-time subscribers you'll probably remember that way back in Edition #37 of the newsletter I featured this awesome podcast for my readers to discover. So I was thrilled to see Jordan come on board as an advertiser, because not only do I think more people still need to find and listen to his show, he's been on an absolute tear with the podcast lately.

Awarded a "Best of 2018" designation by Apple, this interview show now boasts over 11 million downloads per month and continues to be an incredible resource for anyone wanting to learn from some of the most successful people on the planet. But its more than that, it's a place to get amazing book recommendations, movie recommendations, and come across useful skill building techniques and insights into how to start something, build it into something valuable and profit!

At its basic core, its an its a show featuring in-depth conversations with people at the top of their game. And not that it's necessary to name-drop some guests Jordan has had, but just looks at this lineup: Neil deGrasse Tyson, Rutger Bregman, Ray Dalio, Leah Remini, Steve Madden, Matthew McConnaghey, Seth Godin, Oliver Stone, Chris Hadfield, and more. Easily one of the best interiew podcasts out there, so make sure to check it out.

TRUE CRIME

CounterClock

With one true crime story per season, investigative journalist Delia D'Ambra takes a long look at homicide cases that have been lost to the annals of time. Sometimes decades after they occurred Delia uncovers new details about crimes that maybe should have been discovered during the initial investigation? I'm not sure what that says about our system of criminal justice, but nevertheless, if you're into true crime, like I know a lot of you maniacs are, I encourage you to check out all 3 seasons of this podcast.

SOCIETY & CULTURE

Thinking is Cool

Podcast host and all-around-awesome person Kinsey Grant, previously of Morning Brew / Business Casual fame and who I had the pleasure of interviewing at some point has struck out on her own and started this fantastic new podcast. It's a show about society and culture, and some of the most pressing, complex and all-around perplexing issue we face as a society.

Yes, it's new, but Kinsey brings a level of enthusiasm and interviewing chops that is hard to match, and well, it's downright contagious. Topics covered thus far have been as varied as talking about the concept of wealth and billionaires, climate change, Bitcoin and, yes, even porn. I can't wait to see what Kinsey comes up with next. Subscribe to this show, trust me, you'll like it a lot.

TRUE CRIME

Black Box Down

Plane crashes. They still happen. Though with decreasing frequency thankfully. Nevertheless they remain a fascinating topic to explore and learn from to discover all the ways in which planes can fall out of the sky. If you have a fear of flying this might not be the show for you. But if you want to hear two aviation enthusiasts tackle some of the most infamous and even lesser known airborne calamities, you've found the right podcast.

COMEDY

Distractible

Sometimes its hard to describe exactly what makes a podcast great. Sometimes its even harder to describe what the heck that show is actually about. But as Seinfeld proved, sometimes a show, even a podcast, doesn't have to be overly specific to be both good and in this case, incredibly funny. With that said, I'll just leave the full official description here and simply tell you that if you're looking for some laughs, this would be a good place to start:

The Distractible podcast with Mark Fischbach, Wade Barnes, and Bob Muyskens is a space to have thoughtful discussions about funny, out there, or otherwise interesting stories from everyday life. Also an opportunity for three friends to remind each other they are not as smart as they think.
