Switch Weekly - So, Legends is looking better

Hi, Chris here with another round-up of Nintendo news — it's issue #246 of Switch Weekly. 

This week the big focus was Pokemon. The Pokemon Presents (linked below) gave us another glimpse at the upcoming Diamond and Pearl remakes (folks still seem torn on those Chibi characters, however...), and a better look at Legends. I've gotta say, Legends looks a ton better than it did on its initial reveal. I'm not huge on Pokemon anymore — however I am looking forward to Legends, as it seems to be offering a shake up of sorts to the rather tired formula we've had over the past 25 years. I'm optimistic and people seem to like the new Growlithe, but hey people need to get angry over something apparently....so, trees?

There's just under 25 games coming to the Switch next week, including the two Spelunky games, No More Heroes 3, and Baldo — real keen to see how that last one reviews, as it looks just gorgeous. Full list is below as usual.

• Instant Farmer — Chill farming puzzler.
• May's Mysteries: The Secret of Dragonville — Hidden object and brain teaser puzzle adventure.
• Off The Road Unleashed — An off-road racing sim sandbox.
• Orbibot — Move a ball-shaped robot around mazes in the physics/logic 3D puzzler.
• Pretty Girls Panic — An 'M for Mature' puzzler.
• Secret Neighbor — A sus social horror game for up to six players set in the Hello Neighbor universe, find the intruder.
• ⭐️ Spelunky — Go deep in this now classic roguelike platformer.
• ⭐️ Spelunky 2 — A new generation of explorers.
• Titans Black Ops — 2D action 'jump n gun'.
• ⭐️ Wildbus — Beat monster with a customizable fighting bus in this adventure RPG. Has a neat visual style. Wait for reviews, but this one looks intriguing.
• Witch Hunter — 2D endless runner, like a reskinned Dark Thrones from above (the same team).

Friday, August 27

• ⭐️ Baldo: The Guardian Owls — A real visual treat, hope this reviews well.
• ⭐️📦 No More Heroes 3 — A new quirky punk-rock Travis adventure.
• One-Eyed Lee and the Dinner Party — When does a bunker become a tomb?

Saturday, August 28

• Hammer 2 Reloaded — A rather basic looking third-person shooter.
