I "neglected" my sites...then they doubled

I have a small confession to make. I didn't even look at my website or login to the backend for at least the last couple of months.

I have definitely not been very "hands on" with my websites over the past year or so.

However, something interesting has happened to my public case study site (Own The Yard) and a Mom blog that I own.

They have both nearly doubled in size in the last 12 months!

When I compare Aug. 2020 earnings to Aug. 2021 earnings, both sites are just shy of earning twice as much.

How can a website's earnings double when you don't even check on your sites very much?

Outsourcing.

I've been able to outsoure the writing, editing, and formatting/posting of all my content.

I also have in-depth SOPs that I put in place, which was a ton of work. But now I don't have to do the work anymore, I just pay an invoice for others to do it.

I did NOT outsource the keyword research or strategy of the sites. However, once I put those in motion, things are growing.

I've used several authors and have outsourced content to a couple of different content agencies.

However, I've used Content Pit on both my sites and they tend to deliver quality content at a great price.

To be clear, I have other writers besides just Content Pit, but they have certainly supplemented the work of my core authors over the past couple of years.

The founder of Content Pit has offered a special coupon for Niche Pursuits readers only. You can get 30% bonus content when you place an order.

Check out the special offer from Content Pit right here.

Overall, the power of outsourcing is nothing new. However, I was just a little surprised to see that my sites had actually nearly doubled over the past 12 months, and I literally don't even look at my websites very often.

For the record, I probably SHOULD be looking at my websites more often and that could probably help them grow even more.

But isn't it a great business where that is not necessarily a requirement?

Thanks again,

Spencer
